Educational Background

As a lifelong student of human behavior, I'm passionate about helping clients reach their goals. With an undergraduate degree in Sociology and a Master's in Couples and Family Therapy, I've dedicated my career to understanding the complexities of human relationships.
I believe that therapy should be a supportive and empowering experience. Together, we'll explore your unique story, strengths, and challenges. By combining my knowledge of human behavior with your individual needs, we'll work toward healing and growth.
I have additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Attachment Based Therapy. Both of these styles allow me to work well with interpersonal relationships. Did you know that our upbringing can heavily influence the romantic partners we end up with? I help my clients better understand how their upbringing could be influencing how they show up in their relationships. Throughout my development and training as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have gravitated towards working with couples, healing attachment wounds, and other interpersonal conflict. I truly love, love even when it's not pretty.
In the Office
I'm committed to breaking down the stigma surrounding therapy. My approach is warm, welcoming, and even a bit fun. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and inspired to discover your true potential. A session with me could look like working though an argument you had with your partner in detail, or practicing skills to calm your nervous system in session. I ensure my clients feel like they are sitting down with a trusted friend by seeking out their feedback and creating a judgment free space. I will be there to validate your experience, or point out when you are repeating some of the unhelpful patterns we discovered in previous sessions. I empower my clients by allowing them to feel heard and guiding them as they discover new paths for themselves. Humor is one of my favorite coping skills, so my clients can be prepared to share a laugh or two as well.
Out of the Office
In my free time you can usually find me at home with my Partner and our 1 year old son. I enjoy a lazy day inside binge watching Reality Tv Dating shows like the Bachelor or Love Island (hence the title Soul Ties Therapy...IFKYK). If I am not inside I enjoy, eating almost anything. Your girl can eat. Sushi, Pizza, Pasta, Tacos, Thai, Soul food, if you have a recommendation I WILL try it! After hearing about all my guilty pleasures you might be surprised to hear I also enjoy an active life style. I grew up playing sports competitively, so I love competing whether it is to shoot some hoops, run, play a game of soccer or any sport really. I also enjoy weightlifting and running at the gym.
